Cold-atom quantum computing project

Greeting

The "cold-atom" quantum computer, which uses individual atoms assembled with optical tweezers at nearly absolute zero temperature as high-performance qubits, has emerged rapidly over the past four or five years and is now attracting attention from industry, academia, and government around the world as the next generation of quantum computer hardware. Especially, the " ultrafast quantum computer," which we have independently invented and are developing, is a new technology based on a completely new concept of fusing ultrafast optical technology and quantum computers. Our newly launched Moonshot R&D (Cabinet Office/JST) will further enhance research and development based on this "ultrafast quantum computer," aiming to achieve the goal of 2030.
