Participated in “Quantum Innovation 2025, Moon Shot Goal 6 International Symposium 2025 (MS6)held in Osaka.
From July 29 (Tue) to August 2 (Sat), 2025, the international quantum symposiums “Quantum Innovation 2025 (QI)” and “Moonshot Goal 6 International Symposium 2025 (MS6)” were held at Grand Green Osaka. Seven members from the Omori Laboratory project team, including PI Dr. Tomita as an organizer, participated. One student presented a poster, which received numerous questions and comments from attendees. The active discussions provided valuable feedback and served as a great opportunity to deepen academic exchange.

At MS6, Professor Kenji Omori delivered a lecture titled:
“Large-scale and high-coherence fault-tolerant quantum computer
with dynamical atom arrays”
Participating in Quantum Innovation 2025 was an incredibly stimulating experience, offering insights into international collaboration surrounding quantum technologies and strategic initiatives led by the EU. The symposium also emphasized the importance of quantum technologies in terms of economic security and the establishment of technological sovereignty. It reaffirmed the need for Japan to go beyond mere technological development and to strengthen efforts in international strategy, human resource development, and standardization.
